I went to school for graphic design and fell in love with the digital side of web design. I found UX early on and realized it was the perfect combination of being creative and methodical with the placement of content and interactions that you provide the user. With a minor in psychology, I've always been fascinated with what makes people do what they do. Creating designs based on research and data is what makes the most sense to me. Being able to watch your users interact with what you create and seeing them find it intuitive, or bring enjoyment from it, is why I love my job.
Over the last couple years, we've all felt the impact of the pandemic. It's been important for me to find different ways to spend my time and decompress after a long day. When I'm not working to create user-friendly sites, I enjoy reading, listening to music, cooking, sipping on that perfect cup of coffee, and cycling to clear my mind. To get in touch with my creative side I like to paint, draw with pastels, quilt and really anything that I can make with my hands. Check out some of my other work!
